mywiffiext (team of experts providing technical support for all types of network related queries) explains about the common problems being faced daily by the users with relation to WiFi.
Internet has become the need of the hour and so is now the Wi-Fi connectivity, which gives you freedom to use your network without wires at each and every place of your home or work. WiFi gives you the freedom to access internet while sitting in the lawn, working in the kitchen and even while working in the basement.
Internet connectivity and bandwidth has drastically improved in the past few years and service providers are giving their best to provide a best experience to the users. Now, to connect multiple devices like smart phones, Laptops, Tablets etc. to a single connection WiFi connection comes to the rescue and gives the user the ultimate experience of using and connecting multiple devices at the same time.
Now once you’ve set up your home network, here is the list of some common problems you will face and ways to correct the same by mywifi ext.

First and the most common problem is Slow connection:-

Despite faster speed of internet reaching most homes and workplaces globally, wireless (and often wired) networks can get bogged down. If your Internet connection is still working but the speeds are slower than normal, there is usually a logical explanation and can be fixed easily

Problem: The obvious problem with Wi-Fi speeds slowing down is being too far from the router. The further you are from the router, the slower speed gets and pages might take like ages to open.
Resolution: To fix this, just get a little closer to the router. If the router is located in a different room, try going into the room where the router is located and see if this fixes the issue. If this becomes a consistent issue, try to position your router higher (up on the shelf), away from the devices, which can interfere with it, and better is the central location of the home which can over the complete house.
If the problem still persists you can buy a new router, also there are cheap devices available in the market which can extend the range of the WiFi, termed as range extender devices.

Problem: Another cause for slowdowns is a lack of bandwidth. If everyone is at home at the same time and using their computers, phones and televisions at the same time downloading some heavy files or browsing online videos. Now in such a case your otherwise speedy internet is being shared by many other devices and multiple downloading slows down the speed.

Resolution: Disconnect any devices that you aren’t actively using. If multiple people are trying to stream videos from, say, YouTube and also trying to game online, you can try connecting one or more of the devices directly to the router using a Cat-5 ethernet cable to free up some of the wireless bandwidth. But still the problem will be you might not have enough speed to cater needs of all the devices being run simultaneously.
Now, if the number of devices being connected by you is not using the internet actively, there might be possibility that someone else is taking advantage of your WiFi and leeching your data. Do not forget to secure your network with a password and do not share the password with just anyone.

Problem: Interference can be a real issue, especially in crowded areas. When most people first get their Internet set up, they leave settings unchanged, which means default wireless frequency channels — like 1, 6 and 11 — become very crowded.
Resolution: Fortunately, many newer model routers are capable of automatically selecting the least crowded frequencies upon rebooting. Perform a power cycle on your router or, log in to the admin panel and manually select a different channel.
Additionally, if you have a dual-band router, try enabling both 2.4GHz and 5GHz. Also, keep the 5GHz channel open for your most important connections.

Problem: Now, during the evening when everyone is at home, network speed might slow down as everyone in your area is using the internet at the same time, especially in the urban settings.
Resolution: Well in such a case the best is to schedule your work outside the peak hours and try to finish the work before everyone else starts using the network connection.

Problem: Wireless technology has changed quite a bit over the last few years. New wireless standards have been put in place, speeds are faster than ever, fiber connections is being offered in many areas and devices you never thought would require an Internet connection need Wi-Fi connectivity like televisions, speakers, printers, phones, tablets and more. The problem could easily be an outdated router.
Resolution: Now if you really think that the limitation lies with your router, it may be time to start saving up for a new router. Upgrading your router every two years or so is a good practice and can help you avoid certain issues altogether.

No Internet connection:-

Problem: After some duration of time, something glitches and the router or modem (or combination) just stop communicating. There isn’t always an explanation, it usually just happens all of a sudden
Resolution: The best way to resolve the issue is disconnecting from the power plug. Disconnect the modem and router from power and wait at least 30 seconds before restoring power to both and starting the router.
Problem: Now, one of the most common problems that occurs with the internet is the connection dropping completely — not due to a hardware issue, but rather a massive service problem at the end of service provider.
Resolution: Nothing can be done here at your end. You can go to the nearest coffee shop or get on the phone with your Internet service provider (ISP) and let them know you’re affected and raise complaint. Sadly, this usually won’t do much to speed up the recovery time, but it can help the ISP know more about which areas are affected by an outage.

So, the advice by mywifi ext be aware of the WiFi related issue and enjoy wonderful internet connectivity at wherever you go any place anywhere.
