Protect your Windows PC from malware
With the outbreak of malware and ransomware crippling the world’s computers and stealing users’ personal data, it’s a good idea to enhance your computer’s security system. In May 2017, the WannaCry ransomware attacks shut down hundreds of thousands of computers worldwide. Basically, WannaCry exploited critical vulnerabilities in your Windows system, encrypted your data and asked for ransom payments.
If you frequently go online to make purchases and connect with your families and friends, there’s a good chance that your computer has become the target of malware and hackers. Therefore, it’s best to protect yourself from imminent threats.
Step one: First off, perform a right-click on the Start button and open Control Panel to proceed
Step two: Next up, click File History and then hit the System Image Backup in the bottom-left corner. After that, you need to connect an external USB hard drive to your computer (Make sure that it has enough free space)
Step three: Select where you want to save your backup and hit the Next button
Step four: Once you are done, click Start backup to complete the task
Keep your Windows up to date
Make sure you have turned on Firewall
Step one: First off, you need to open Control Panel on your computer and then head to System and Security
Step two: Select Windows Firewall and then turn on Windows Firewall.
